Red star Atlantic white cypress 

An upright shrubby conifer. Bearing beautiful green soft foliage for most of the year, but in Winter it turns into a gorgeous purple-plum colour as soon as first frosts hit, showing off its party trick- unusual, attractive colour. It is an easy to care for shrub and only ever needs occasional pruning if you so choose. 

Site: Semi sheltered, avoid exposed sites
Soil: Well drained, but moist rich soil is ideal
Position: Full sun
Season of Interest: Evergreen silvery blue foliage 
Hardiness: Hardy, Can suffer slight damage in extremely cold situations
 Height: 3ft (1m) Spread: 3ft (1m) in approx 10 years
