Hellebore Silver Dollar
An outstanding cultivar of Stern’s hybrid hellebore, Helleborus x sternii Silver Dollar is a small, clump-forming, evergreen perennial. The beautiful, silvery leaves are divided into three toothed leaflets, a lovely foil for the flowers. Creamy-green, cup-shaped flowers flushed with pink appear from January to March, and look lovely with snowdrops or other early bulbs in very mild areas; they are an invaluable early nectar source for pollinators. Plant in the shelter of a warm wall, or grow in rich, gritty compost in a container near a house wall or doorway in colder areas – hellebore Silver Dollar looks lovely on its own in a container.
