Astilbe Younique Lilac
The Younique astilbe cultivars have been bred to have more flower spires, be more compact and earlier-blooming, and be more resistant to drought and heat, so they can be grown by those of us who have lighter, less reliably moist soils. Astilbe Younique Lilac™ is a compact, upright, fast-growing, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial. It forms a low mound of ferny, deep green foliage. Profuse feathery spires of lilac to mauve flowers, attractive to butterflies and moths, appear above the foliage from early to mid-summer. Astilbe Younique Lilac looks lovely at the front of a border with low grasses and other, contrasting perennials.
