Deutzia gracilis Nikko
A small deciduous shrub with a low spreading habit, arching branches and green leaves, turning purple-red in autumn. Abundant clusters of star-shaped, pure white flowers appear in late Spring or early Summer. Stems are somewhat short-lived, and annual pruning of dead branches is usually necessary. Prune in spring immediately after flowering.
