Rose Flower Carpet Red
Also known as Flower Carpet Red Velvet, Rosa Flower Carpet Red is a ground-cover rose, a low-growing, deciduous sub-shrub; it is less spreading than other Flower Carpet roses, forming a low mound. The ovate leaves are deep green, setting off the flowers beautifully. The flowers are borne in clusters along the stems from June to August; they are single to semi-double, 2 ½ ”/6cm across, and a rich velvety carmine red, with a white eye and deep yellow stamens. The open flowers of rose Flower Carpet Red are nectar- and pollen-rich, attracting bees and other pollinators. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
