Tree Mallow Barnsley Baby
A dwarf version of the ever-popular Barnsley, Lavatera x clementii Barnsley Baby is a vigorous, rather short-lived, small, semi-evergreen shrub with a well-branched, bushy habit, ideal for patio and container growing and for small gardens. The tripartite leaves are soft grey-green, beautifully setting off the pale pink, mallow-like flowers with their red eyes. These are borne from June to September; dead-heading will prolong flowering. Dwarf tree mallow Barnsley Baby prefers lighter soils but repays good feeding. It holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is particularly attractive to bees and butterflies.
