Agapanthus Windsor Grey
An agapanthus or African lily with a sophisticated, subtle colour, Agapanthus Windsor Grey is a herbaceous perennial with a clump-forming habit. The strap-shaped, arching leaves are deep green, forming a basal clump. From July to September, rounded umbels of tubular flowers rise on tall stems above the clump, palest lavender-grey, with green pollen and green at the base of each flower. The flowers are attractive to pollinators. Very good in containers, especially in a formal row of identical pots. Agapanthus Windsor Grey is one of the hardier agapanthuses, but will benefit from a winter mulch in the coldest areas.
