Anemone Ruffled Swan
Taller than the award-winning Anemone Wild Swan, hybrid Anemone Ruffled Swan is a clump-forming, vigorous, herbaceous perennial, with an upright, branching habit. The broad, glossy, green leaves are toothed and lobed, forming a neat mound, and make good ground-cover. The semi-double flowers are 3 ½”/9cm across, pure white with a streak of lilac-blue at the back of the petals, and golden stamens in the centre; they are borne intermittently for a very long period, from May to November. Ideal for borders or woodland plantings, Anemone Ruffled Swan is well-behaved, and does not run at the root like some of its thuggish relatives. Mulch in autumn to protect the crown against frost.
