Tulip Shirley – Single Tulip
Single ivory-white flowers with narrow purple margins and spotted pale purple at the base, these coloured markings increase with age. Tulip Shirley makes a very attractive and feminine display. Beautiful planted with contrasting silver foliage.
Site: Best in shelter
Position: South or West facing, in full sun
Soils: Rich but well-drained, sandy, light soil
Planting Period: September to November
Flowering Period: April to May
Planting: Depth 4 – 6” (10 -15 cm), Spacing 4 – 6” (10 -15 cm)
